Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a
discussion of potential treatment options. Please allow one hour. This
important visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. We begin by
taking a digital panoramic film to check your teeth and bone structure. Then
we will patiently listen to all your orthodontic-related concerns. Next, we
will perform a thorough clinical exam and document our findings. We will
explain the general nature of any orthodontic problem, explain treatment
options, and discuss associated treatment timing. Finally, we will discuss
treatment costs, insurance benefits, and offer various financing options. The
initial exam and consultation is FREE!
Topics discussed at the inital exam and consult include:
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed until appropriate
growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
Please assist us by providing the following at the time of your first visit:
Any panoramic x-ray or full mouth series taken within the past 6 months.
If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing
this information at the first visit we will be able to give you an estimate of
your costs.
